Google News is Making it Easier to Find Local News

Google News does a good job of showing you local news pieces that are actually from local sources, they haven’t always been good at knowing when something local was been picked up by a national publication. Google News now has a “Local Source” tag that gains this functionality, and you’ll find this new feature across all Google News editions.
