Smartphone Speakers: How Much do They Matter to You? What’s Your Favorite Setup?

As our pocket devices grow bigger with sharper and denser screens, and as our network speeds at home and outside improve, it’s only natural we consume more media content on our Android phones. anywhere and at any time.

But visuals are only a (very crucial) part of the story, and we often use our phones for music and calls anyway. While not all of us listen to music on our phones’ speakers, it’s very likely we do watch the occasional YouTube video or social media clip on our devices, without any headphones. We all use our phones’ speakers in the end, but we don’t all find them to be a priority nor particularly care about their quality, volume, or general output. Others, though, are very picky about their phones’ audio experience on all fronts, and even the number and placement of their devices’ speakers.

How much does your phone’s speaker quality matter to you? Does it influence your purchases, or is it at the bottom of your priority list? Do you prefer dual-stereo speakers? Which smartphone speakers would you say have been excellent or sufficient by your standards, and which have failed you?
