ZTE Axon 7 to be Officially Launched in the U.S. on July 18th

The ZTE Axon 7 was originally unveiled on May 26th and since then we’ve been itching to hear when the device would make its way to the U.S. thanks to the possibility of an unlocked bootloader. With an enticing $399 pre-order price, the latest from ZTE seems to be a promising contender in the fairly-competitive sea of Snapdragon 820 devices currently available.

For better or worse, ZTE delayed the U.S. launch of the device after seeing community feedback regarding its navigation keys. Evidently, the device was delayed so ZTE could add capacitive buttons.

It doesn’t look like U.S. fans of ZTE will have to wait much longer, however, as ZTE is sending out press invites to an event in NYC on July 18th regarding the official launch of “its latest mobile device.”

ZTE USA’s CEO Lixin Cheng will be making an appearance at the event beginning at 3PM EST and any attending media outlet will be allowed to have hands-on time with the Axon 7. Yes, the event is a mere 3 days away, and while the invite doesn’t directly mention the Axon 7, there really isn’t any doubt about what else the company will be revealing to the U.S. market. We are working on securing a review device so you, our readers, will have an in-depth understanding on whether or not this device will live up to its hype. Stay tuned!
